el mes de abril es Autism Awareness month and we knew we wanted to find a way to work closely with the autism community. This led us to collaborate with Special Needz Coffee, a coffee truck located in Ontario, CA that provides job opportunities for individuals with special needs and/or mental illness.

One of our digital marketing team members, Jenae, drove down to Ontario to visit Special Needz Coffee and bring them a surprise! Our initial donation of about 20 headphones that we gave to each of the workers at Special Needz Coffee. They were overfilled with joy to be able to receive brand new headphones!

We even got to sit down and talk to each of Special Needz Coffee employee and ask them some questions about music, headphones, working at a coffee truck and more. Many of them were really excited to receive new headphones because music is an important part of their life. They told us who their favorite artists were, and all their music taste varied between country, rock, electric, latin hip-hop and more. One of the girls even expressed that she loves listening to music because it makes her happy!

They expressed how much they love working for Special Needz Coffee because, for many of them, it is their first job. They told us that they like that they get the opportunity to have a job and hang out with their co-workers. Having autism can make it difficult to work at a regular job with people who can not relate to your disability, however, Special Needz Coffee is all ran by individuals with autism, so they never have to feel left out or different. 

After we showed them how to connect and use their new headphones, they took us out to their coffee truck and made us a coffee. We would definitely give it a 10/10!
